Hello stars, I’m still awake,
My thoughts so clear and deep.
Many hours will it take,
Till I am fast asleep?
Shining brightly in the sky,
I’m captured by your light.
Like a lantern I rely,
For you to guide my sight.
Soon enough the sun will rise,
And you will fade away.
Colours painted in the skies,
Will welcome the new day.
